Office Administrator - Litigation

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our team as an Office Administrator.About the roleDue to the recent growth of our Litigation teams, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in a key support role.You will provide direct support to two Principals and a team of solicitors, as well as being part of the firm's wider support team providing day-to-day administration assistance to our Queenstown office. The role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in the legal environment under great supervision from experienced legal administrators.You will be assisting with varied and interesting work across criminal defence, family, relationship property, resource management and dispute resolution. There may also be opportunities to assist with other areas of the firm's litigation practice for example in employment and immigration.You can expect your daily workload to be varied, with typical tasks including:Drafting correspondence, preparing court documents and transcribing digital dictations;Opening and closing legal files, assisting with litigation team queries, client onboarding and managing AML legislative processes;Diary management including liaising with clients and courts, booking meetings, and task support to solicitors;Assistance with monthly billing;Answering incoming calls to the office and the possibility of providing front office cover;General day-to-day administration support.What we are looking for in a candidateThe role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain exposure to interesting work in a forward-thinking law practice. Experience in the legal profession or similar professional environment is desirable but not essential. What is important is that you are someone with a positive team attitude, you can show initiative and are self-motivated to provide excellent support to a busy team.We are looking for you to have the following:The ability to multi-task and manage workloads efficiently and in a timely manner;Strong written and verbal communication skills;The ability to work hard and a desire to develop skills in the legal field;A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;A friendly attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team;Confident computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;The ability to maintain strict confidentiality.About UsTODD & WALKER Law is one of Queenstown Lakes leading all-service law firms.
