Our Silver Fern Farms Waitotara site is based half an hour from Whanganui. We are a friendly and caring team, with approximately 230 processing staff on-site.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Office Administrator who is a keen learner and not afraid to be hands-on. This role will also cover our Payroller when they are away. This is a full-time position from 7.30am to 4.30pm.

Ideally, you will have payroll experience at a medium to large organisation. Alternatively, you will be good with numbers, have an exceptional eye for detail, and be familiar with learning legislation. An accounts background could be useful.

Day-to-day, the role requires welcoming visitors, managing e-certs (MPI documentation), record management, administration, and putting out communications to the site. As we are a small team, it is essential that you are keen to pitch in and cover tasks that keep the site running. Ultimately, our job as a People Team is to do whatever is required to support the site and our production teams.

The type of skills and experience we are looking for is:

Strong administration experience

Payroll experience in a medium-large organisation

Experience with PayGlobal would be advantageous

A strong customer service work ethic; our team purpose is to support our production workers!
