Join our team at Fowler Homes Christchurch North! Fowler Homes has been dedicated to building high-quality design and build homes for Kiwi families since 1984. As a leading residential construction company in New Zealand, we are committed to excellence and innovation in every project we undertake. We are currently seeking an experienced Office Administrator with a background in the construction industry to join our dedicated small team. This part-time position (20-23 hours per week) is based at our Ferry Road office until January 2025, after which we will transition to our Show Home in Bellgrove, Rangiora. In this role you will manage office administration for both Fowler Homes and our sister company Bird Built.
About the Role: In this dynamic role, you will become a vital member of our small, collaborative team. Your strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail will be essential as you manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. You will play a key role in supporting the owners and contributing to our continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities: Manage accounts payable and receivable with precision.
Assist with HR administration as required.
Create and manage jobs in our BuilderTrend software.
Coordinate the request of PS3s, PS4s, and ROWs from trades.
Input and reconcile data in BuilderTrend, ensuring accurate back costing.
Perform general office tasks, including taking meeting minutes, ordering uniforms, managing office supplies, and overseeing vehicle fleet servicing and repairs.
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth operations.
Handle office administration tasks for both Fowler Homes and Bird Built, ensuring consistent operational excellence.
Skills and Experience: A proactive approach to general administrative tasks alongside support for the owners.
Proven ability to execute tasks efficiently and accurately.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with BuilderTrend or other construction management software is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
