About the Role The Occupational Therapy Service at Hawkes Bay Hospital has an opening on the popular and sought-after rotational programme. Rotational positions offer a range of clinical practice experience including in the areas of orthopaedics, surgery, neurology, cardiology, medical and rehabilitation. The position is well supported by experienced Occupational Therapists across the clinical spectrum, as well as the Occupational Therapy Professional Lead.
About the Team/Service/ Location You will join a diverse team of acute and subacute Occupational Therapists, and be part of the supportive Allied Health inpatient team. We value Continued Professional Development, mentoring, supervision and on-going training. You will have access to regular in-service training, special interest working groups, and learning opportunities to develop your clinical, cultural, quality improvement, and leadership skills. The Occupational Therapy Professional Lead will also support your growth and promotes the Occupational Therapy service throughout our hospital.
About you To be considered you will need:
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.New Zealand Registration with current annual practising certificate (APC) or ability to gain this in a timely way.Suitable for new graduates or those in their first year of practice.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
