The Opportunity We are seeking someone with enthusiasm, commitment, and creative thinking who has the skills and vision to help grow occupational therapy, support staff, and work alongside others to further develop the model of Occupational Therapy Services for our consumers in our Acute Mental Health unit.
In this position, you will work with another Occupational Therapist / Kaiwhakaora ngangahau and Assistants.
Occupational Therapy / Whakaora Ngangahau is a critical service in a new model of care focused on primary health and community rehabilitation integration to deliver positive health outcomes for patients and communities.
Career development opportunities in allied health strategic leadership positions are also emerging with a clear priority to develop allied health practice within the district.
MidCentral is the major provider, funder, and planner of health and disability services throughout the greater Manawatu region, including the Palmerston North Hospital.
For the right person, we are open to flexible employment arrangements for this role which could be a secondment, fixed term, or on a contract basis.
