Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position): Wahi Oranga is a large unit that provides intensive acute and rehabilitative care.

We strive to create a positive work environment with balanced and safe workloads. This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 hours.

The role is varied including working individually with patients, undertaking assessments, group work/activities, education, and support to the wider team.

For the majority of time, you'll be based at our inpatient unit, with some time in the community supporting patients transitioning to the community.

Our unit has a sensory modulation framework, led by our Occupational Therapists. The salary range for this role is $74,842 - $113,000 (Step 1 - Step 10) based on the current Allied, Public Health & Technical MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

Ko wai he kaitono totika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?) You will be an enthusiastic and energetic NZ registered Occupational Therapist with well-developed people skills.

You will bring experience working in a rehabilitation-focused, continuing care, mental health environment and will ideally have post-graduate qualifications relevant to this practice area.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
