This Registered Occupational Therapist role is based in our Acute Alternative Hutt Day service which provides an alternative care option to traditional hospital settings for people in mental distress, with high mental health support needs.

Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure that service provision has a whanau focus and that whanau engagement happens in your practice.
Role model a focus on inspiring wellbeing and working to deliver innovative, responsive, high-quality services.
Develop effective and versatile methods of communication.
Provide both individual and group-based occupational therapy intervention with whaiora and taiohi.
Ensure individual support/goals plans are developed and reviewed in collaboration with stakeholders including physical, emotional, and spiritual aspirations.

Hours include: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm, with an afterhours on-call component.

You will be:
A recognised Occupational Therapist tertiary qualification.
A current full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.
A current New Zealand first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
An understanding of what you need for your own wellbeing.
Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
