Occupational Therapist - Casual

This is a casual position to cover for staff leave within a rural Allied Health team.
We are looking for applicants with a range of generalist and specialist skills, and a genuine passion for working alongside clients in the inpatient and community settings, to facilitate a smoother health journey.
This casual position will require you to be adaptable to change, resourceful, and flexible to meet service needs.
You will ideally have at least 12 months post-qualification experience, NZ registration in Occupational Therapy, and a current practising certificate.
Additionally, you will bring the following: Comprehensive clinical assessment and problem-solving skills; Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, to develop positive interpersonal relationships, and work flexibly within the inter-disciplinary team, with a team player attitude; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to liaise effectively with health professionals both within the inpatient services and in the community; Strong clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practice; Effective time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills; If this sounds like you, we welcome your application.
Clutha Health First is an integrated health centre incorporating GP, inpatient ward, maternity ward with birthing unit, outpatient specialist services, and a wide variety of community-based and allied health services.

CHF pays the equivalent of Health New Zealand rates and the salary for this role falls between Step 1 ($35.88 per hour) and Step 8 ($51.29 per hour) of the Occupational Therapist's scale.
