Location - Whanganui About the role We are looking for a new Consultant to join our highly skilled team in a permanent, full-time position. This critical position will see the successful candidate working within a team of 4 consultants supporting a full range of Obstetrics & Gynae services, including colposcopy. The birth rate for Whanganui is around 800 births per year with a caesarean rate of less than 20 percent. With the support of RMO's and Registrars, you will attend outpatient clinics and Theatre sessions each week and participate in the acute on call roster. About you To succeed in this position, you will have completed your residency/registrar training in O&G and are a fellow of The Royal Australian College and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) or working towards and are eligible to hold vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ. About Whanganui Wanganui is located on the West coast of New Zealand's North Island with a wide range of services including emergency medicine, general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, O&G, ENT, ophthalmology, dentistry and psychiatry. We provide a six-bed critical care unit with tertiary support from Wellington Hospital. Tertiary services such as cardio-thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, paediatric surgery and cardiology are provided for our patients in Wellington.
