We are a busy restaurant located in Hamilton, open 7 days per week.
We now require a full-time permanent restaurant manager to join in our team.
We offer at least 30 hours per week, work from Monday to Sunday, and our pay range is from $29.66/hour to $32.00/hours depending on your learning abilities.
You will need to be able to work independently and effectively.
Skills and experience needed: -At least 3 years work experience at a team leader role, OR -A level 4 qualification in related industry Overall Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and organize the kitchen's activities, prepare, and cook of Chinese food in in lunch/ dinner dining restaurant.
Tasks Include: Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities in the kitchen Plan and construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings Plan orders of food supplies and ingredients according to the identified shortages Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards Supporting the head chef in the general running of the kitchen when necessary Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Inspect raw and cooked food items to guarantee that the highest quality products are prepared and served to customers Manage and supervise junior chefs and other kitchen staffs, make sure all sections are well set for services Formulate cooking techniques and procedures, discuss identified issues with the management and the kitchen and front of house staff Assisting head chef in estimating amounts and costs of required supplies and ingredient with minimum wastage, calculate labour costs, and decide on the menu price Comply with all Company Policies and legal requirements with special reference to Health and Safety to ensure all procedures: Health and Safety, and Food Safety Management are maintained to the required standards If you are interested in the role, please apply here.
