About the role: PGG Wrightson Seeds are seeking a NutritionTechnician to be based at our Kimihia Research Farm, Lincoln servicing our research farms in both Lincoln and Oxford. Duties & responsibilities: Generating,collating and reporting production data from our Marshdale Farmsite - Oxford Assistwith planning, executing and reporting on R&D animal nutrition-based projectsat our Kimihia Research site - Lincoln Providingsupport for field days and farm visits to both Marshdale and Kimihia Support MarshdaleFarm operations with stock shifts, irrigation and development programwhere required Providesupport for commercial activities associated with seed sales In this position, you willwork closely with people who are recognised internationally as leaders in theirfield. You will be learning from leading scientists, animal nutritionists and experiencedagronomists. This is a great career opportunity.
A relevant qualification in an agricultural or science related discipline or recent and relevant experience in a similar role Ability to work on spreadsheets and analyse data - using Excel. Presentation and report writing skills. An affinity to farming and agriculture, ideally with experience with stock handling and machine operation Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in a variety of weather, some Saturdays on a roster may be required. Knowledge of animal nutrition and/or farm systems will be valuable however after joining PGG Wrightson Seeds you will be part of a professional development program to support your ongoing learning.
