Te Whatu Ora are seeking for pressure injury resource nurse to join their team in Masterton, Wellington in New Zealand. For this position, candidate have a ability to support program the acute program effectively. Nurse will provide a professional practice support to advice and education staff to ensure optimal patient care, patient safety and improving healthcare outcomes. The ward resource Nurse will be instrumental in providing essential support, education, and guidance to staff, patients, and their families regarding pressure injury prevention and management (PIPM) protocols and practices. Candidate have a experience to currently working in acute program and have a ability to work in hospital. For this position, salary range is 50,000 per year in New Zealand . This is a permanent part time job, candidate have to work 8 hours per day in hospital. The ability to work independently and within a team.
Responsibilities for Pressure Injury Resource Nurse: Candidate is responsible for providing support and education to healthcare staff, patients, and families on pressure injury prevention and management protocols. Ability to conduct assessments of patients at risk of pressure injuries and develop individualized care plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure consistent implementation of best practices. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pressure injury prevention initiatives. It is responsible to provide guidelines, and evidence-based practices in pressure injury management. Advocate for patient safety and quality healthcare outcomes through effective pressure injury management. Experience: Candidate must have experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in acute care settings. Specialized experience or training in pressure injury prevention and management. Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments of patients at risk for pressure injuries. Demonstrated proficiency in developing and implementing individualized care plans. Experience in providing education and support to healthcare staff, patients, and families regarding pressure injury prevention strategies. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with relevant protocols, guidelines, and best practices in pressure injury management. Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa is implementing a pressure injury prevention and management (PIPM) program aimed at preventing healthcare-associated infections and enhancing patient outcomes. The core focus of this program is on providing education, implementing timely prevention strategies, and facilitating early recognition in both community and inpatient settings.
