About the Role: We are looking for a passionate Nurse Team Leader to lead our nursing team at Riccarton Clinic. This permanent position offers 72 hours per fortnight , with flexible shifts within our clinic's operating hours of Monday to Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM. You will report to the Nurse Leader and play a key role in enhancing the quality of care through strategic planning and service implementation. Ideal candidates should have at least two years of experience in urgent care or emergency departments and some leadership experience. Strong clinical skills, teamwork, and a commitment to our standards are essential. This role also involves providing clinical education and working closely with the team.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Motivate and guide the urgent care nursing team, setting the standard for professional behaviour and excellent work habits. Quality and Risk: Demonstrate commitment to quality improvements and risk management, reviewing and developing clinical standards, protocols, and policies. Training and Education: Collaborate with the Nurse Leader to develop and monitor outcomes of educational programs, ensuring continuous professional development for nursing staff. Promote Excellence: Foster a culture of learning that meets legal, ethical, and professional standards while enhancing patient safety and quality of life. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance care quality and facilitate improvement initiatives. Support Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures while promoting a safe environment for patients and staff. Quality and risk management: Working alongside the expectations of the clinic's urgent care contracts and requirements. About Your Profile: Holds a current New Zealand Registered Nurse (NZNC) practising certificate. Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience, with previous leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at working in multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, including understanding Tikanga Maori, Kawa Maori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Strong organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with ACC and PHC funding models and experience with MedTech Evolution is desirable.
