Ko te tima | About the team You will join a close-knit, professional, friendly, and supportive team that includes awesome GPs and nurses, an Extended Care Paramedic, a Health and improvement Practitioner, a Long-term conditions nurse, a Health Coach, a Pharmacist, a Healthcare Assistant, and our frontline Admin team. We are one of four Ora Toa Medical clinics serving the community. Ko te turanga mahi | About the role The Nurse Practitioner: Will be the linchpin in the treatment and care planning of patients with complex health problems, taking on the crucial tasks of assessing, diagnosing, and prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions. Share clinical knowledge with members of the clinical team Play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of care for our patients, significantly impacting their health and well-being. Refer patients as required. Ko nga wheako ou | About you After hearing about us and the role, you'll know whether you're the right person and now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and professional expertise in Primary Health is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngati Toa. Of course, you'll possess: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a primary care Nurse Practitioner A New Zealand Nursing Registration and Nurse Practitioner scope issued by New Zealand Nursing Council A master's degree (with a prescribing component) Specialty knowledge and practice expertise in both an autonomous and collaborative setting Experience working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds Cultural competency and cultural safety But what will stand out is your love for the work and the people.
