Location: Central Hawke's Bay Health Centre Service/Department: Whanau & Communities Group, Central Hawke's Bay Health Centre Contract: Permanent, 72 hours per fortnight About the Role: Are you ready to lead with passion and make a significant impact in the heart of our community? We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager for the Central Hawke's Bay Health Centre. This role is all about championing innovative health services, managing our dedicated nursing team, and ensuring top-notch patient care. You'll be the cornerstone of our acute ward, outpatient department, and community teams, driving excellence every day. This role Includes the management of Nursing, Health Care Associates, & Allied health staff. Located around 50km from the Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings, the Central Hawke's Bay Health Centre provides health care to the community with 6 inpatient beds, outpatient department and community teams. There is a well embedded integrated model of care on site with a large General Practice located in the same facility as well as other providers, including visiting services. There are large pockets of need in the community, so your understanding of the healthcare and cultural needs of Maori, and the ability to put this at the centre of all you do, is vital to this role. Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse. A post-graduate qualification in nursing/health or equivalent work experience with plans for ongoing study. A minimum of five years of nursing experience with recent clinical and leadership roles. An understanding and respect for kaupapa Maori and relationships within te ao Maori. Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
