About the role
Provide support, coordination and education in order to influence and strengthen nursing staff undertaking PDRP
Promote excellence and the enhancement of practice demonstration in line with Nursing Council competencies
Be the key resource for supporting staff to achieve their PDRP requirements as well as participate in local, regional and national PDRP forums
About you
To succeed in this varied clinical coordinator role you'll need to be a person who collaborates, influences, teaches, supports and mentors staff, hospital wide. The outcome of your input is a safe and highly competent workforce that reinforces our commitment to keep patients at the centre of everything we do.
Applications are welcome from registered nurses with a current APC and a minimum of Proficient (Expert or Designated Senior Nurse), PDRP portfolio. You will also need to hold a relevant Post Graduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters and have a post-registration qualification relating to principles of adult teaching and learning and/or Unit Standard 4098.
If you are a networker, a leader and a role model; with recognised teaching, mentoring and coaching skills, a sound knowledge of the PDRP processes; and you align with Southern DHBs values and objectives then we would love to hear from you.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the DSN Pay Scale, between $114,025 and $121,444 p.a pro rata dependent on relevant experience.
