SO/ Auckland is located in the heart of Auckland's CBD. With views of the Waitemata Harbour and city, across 16 floors and 130 design-led rooms.We are currently looking for a Permanent Full-Time Night Manager (40-hours per week) who is hands-on and has a keen eye for detail to help us deliver the best Guest Experience! We welcome you to join us in the front row at SO/ Auckland and become a part of Accor's lifestyle brand collective Ennismore!Job DescriptionThe RoleOversee the night operations of the hotel, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for all guests.Manage and support the night staff, including front desk, security, and housekeeping teams.Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high standard of customer service.Conduct nightly audits, including cash handling, end-of-day reports, and preparation for the next day's operations.Take phone bookings for reservations and monitor the overnight reservations email account.Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests by monitoring security systems and conducting regular patrols.Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.Uphold the hotel's standards and policies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.QualificationsAbout YouA minimum of one year of prior experience as a Night Manager, with a demonstrated background in supervisory or management roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a night shift capacity.A New Zealand Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management.Previous reservation experience as hospitality is a live 24 hour a day business.Strong leadership and team management skills.Strong presentation and organization skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in hotel management software and front office systems.Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.Valid LCQ certificate, a current holder of a Manager License, and valid First Aid Certificate.Full driver's license essential (Ability to drive manual).Additional InformationSO/ BENEFITSStaff meal provided per shift.Uniform and dry-cleaning of uniform.International accommodation and retail discounts across varying Accor Hotels properties.Family & Friends Hotel Discounts.Ongoing reward and recognition incentives and awards.Opportunities for further development and worldwide career progression.Annual reward of a free night's accommodation at the hotel (did we say there is breakfast and dinner included?).Annual Salary of $67,400 in a Full Time permanent role – 40 hours guaranteed per week.Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
