The Salvation Army – Rangiora, South Island The Salvation Army Rangiora is a safe place to Belong, Grow, and serve our community.
About the Role: The purpose of this position is to oversee, coordinate, and promote the delivery of Next Gen at the Rangiora Salvation Army, to ensure the delivery of meaningful faith-based programmes to young people.
What will your responsibilities be: Plan and run our Sunday morning children's church programme, building a team to work alongside the Corps' Next Gen Team.
Continue to build on the corps vision that 'We are a safe place to belong, grow and serve our communities.'
Participate as an active member of Just Brass.
This could include learning to play a brass instrument but is not a requirement.
Develop, along with the Corps' Next Gen Team, a children's programme with the goal of connecting our existing children's programmes together (Children's church, Just Brass, Community Ministries Children).
Offer Chaplaincy to Rangiora Borough and Ashgrove Schools either to the students or the staff, developed around skills, experience, and capacity.
Our ideal candidate will: Align their life and calling with that of The Salvation Army.
Be passionate about the development and discipleship of children and young people.
Have a passion for evangelism to see growth in our next-gen space.

This role is permanent full-time and hours worked will be 40 per week.
The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $27.70-29.
