Subjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts
We are excited to offer one fixed term teacher position in our learning whanau here at Te Whai Hiringa.
The successful applicant must be a teacher who cares about their students. Relationships are paramount in our school, and you must be willing to be patient, kind, and build trust with our tamariki/taiohi. All applicants are welcome if you love this age group.
We live our three kete: Maramatanga, Manaakitanga, and Whanaungatanga; they are the basis for our kura. We are proudly working on indigenising our curriculum to reflect the identity of our students and their whanau. The successful applicants will be on their te reo Maori me ona tikanga learning journey. We need teachers who understand that a child's identity is central to their wellbeing and know how to value and respect each child's kete of knowledge that they bring to their learning daily. The key for any teacher at our kura is that you love tamariki!
