We're currently looking to raise the bar in how we acquire new clients and develop our existing ones. So, we're searching for a Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality and a strong track record of driving sales and smashing targets to help us become the market leader in data & AI.
Your Role
This role will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities and developing them into revenue streams. You will identify and drive new business opportunities, build long-term partnerships, and provide customers with innovative solutions tailored specifically to their business needs. A hunter mentality is a must in this role. Please note this role can be based in Auckland or Wellington.
Key Responsibilities
Understand customers' objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes to form long-term business partnerships.
Actively and successfully manage the sales process from start to finish, including managing and maintaining your sales pipeline, qualifying deals, and ensuring all sales inquiries are followed through effectively.
Present innovative business solutions to potential customers through face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, and/or via email.
Attend industry events, tradeshows, and networking nights to aid in the development of new business revenue.
Your Skills
You will need to demonstrate the ability to influence others in sound judgment and decision-making; possess great interpersonal and communication skills; be a creative thinker; and, above all, have the desire to close deals effectively through a solid qualifying process. Perseverance and diligence are a must in this role.
Additionally, you will have:
Strong business acumen and comfort dealing with Directors/Chiefs/Heads of Data.
The ability to prospect, establish, and build new customer relations.
The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organization.
Relevant qualifications and/or experience working in a sales BD role in a data consulting and resourcing organization are essential for this role.
