About the role: We are currently seeking a strong Network Asset Engineer with substantial proven experience in the electrical distribution industry to join our team!
We are a dedicated and motivated team, where information sharing, trust and open dialogue describe the core of our collaboration.
You will support Electra's vision of driving regional development by providing 21st century infrastructure in the form of safe, efficient, and effective power systems.
You will achieve this through sound asset management processes, practices, and documentation to ensure optimal acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal of network assets by: Assist in continuous improvement in asset management maturity, working towards ISO 55000 alignment.
Assisting with optimal economic asset investment mix analysis, between development, renewal and maintenance.
Implement and maintain asset class risk-based planning methodologies: Develop asset health and performance indices.
Justify and build business cases for project approval, in line with all fleet plans that link into the AMP!
Ensure that approved projects meet safety, quality time and cost requirements.
Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of asset management systems.
Experience: You will have at least 3 years' of experience in electrical distribution or a similar field and have a tertiary qualification in engineering.
You have working knowledge of asset management principles (ISO 55000) and proven experience in asset planning and asset modelling.
Your strong attention to detail and ability to understand design documents and drawings, will assist you in achieving your goal under tight time pressures, large budgets, and volumes of assets.
You can work with consultants and other parts of the business, such as field teams, to ensure asset development, maintenance or disposal is completed on time and within budget.
Just as importantly, you'll be able to contribute to the Asset Management Plan, Information Disclosure schedules and other regulatory requirements as needed, whilst contributing to the production and management of asset fleet(s) AMP budgets, projects and programmes, investment cases and the annual works programme.
