About the Role
Step into this important role leading our work programme to understand how DOC can best apply the Treaty principles in statutory land processes.
You'll engage with iwi and collaborate with a wide range of teams across DOC to develop terms of reference and establish governance models. You will also be involved with the implementation of our Treaty settlement commitments with the wider team. This is a complex but forward-thinking space and will require the ability to collaborate, think innovatively and problem solve.
Responsibilities

Develop, improve and integrate Treaty principles into statutory land processes.
Help set the framework for the output of the programme.
Engage with iwi and collaborate with teams across DOC.
Implement Treaty settlement commitments.

Skills and Experience

Experience in the application of te ao Maori perspectives and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in the strategic framework of a commercial or public entity.
Strong analytical skills demonstrated through the development and interpretation of operational policy or position statements.
Experience distilling complex information into clear and concise recommendations for decision makers.
Experience developing strong relationships and building credibility with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience and comfort working on fast-paced, high-priority issues, demonstrating a high level of adaptability and resilience.
