As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer lives Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to join our team and drive growth across both our Public Training and Medical Product portfolio.
This role would preferably be located in Wellington, Auckland, or Christchurch; However, applications are welcome from across the motu with an option for hybrid and remote working for the right candidate.
Position Purpose: The National Sales Manager will lead and manage the Business Development team to drive sales strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
This key leadership role involves working closely with portfolio leadership to grow sales across a diverse range of products and services, including First Aid Training, Defibrillators, and First Aid Kits.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop, lead, and execute the organisation's business development, sales effectiveness, and account management strategies for First Aid Training, Defibrillators, and First Aid Kits.
Ensure alignment with Hato Hone St John's mission, vision, and values, and continuously enhance sales performance and effectiveness.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support the Business Development team.
Set clear sales targets that support the financial sustainability of the business unit, while fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture that promotes growth and professional development.
Sales Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and product managers to create and execute sales strategies tailored to various industries and customer segments.
Ensure actions are aligned with business goals to drive revenue growth.
Key Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts.
Proactively address customer needs and provide customised solutions that strengthen these partnerships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention.
Market Intelligence: Build a personal network within the business community.
Represent Hato Hone St John at industry events and gather market insights to shape strategy, enhance visibility, and strengthen the organisation's market position.
Customer Focus: Deliver customer-centric solutions that drive satisfaction and loyalty.
Strengthen relationships with customers by ensuring their needs are met and delivering value through tailored services.
Qualifications About You: To be successful in this role, you will have: 8+ years of experience in a sales environment, with a proven track record of growth, sustainability, and success.
Proven experience in developing commercial and strategic customer relationships , ensuring long-term value for both the organisation and the customer.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
A customer-centric approach , with demonstrated success in managing key accounts and building lasting relationships.
Experience working with Salesforce and Sales Cloud , including the ability to leverage these tools for sales management, reporting, and customer relationship management (CRM).
