National Sales Manager

As the National Sales Manager, you will be at the helm of a talented sales team spread across New Zealand. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your role will involve crafting and executing national sales plans whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners. This is a pivotal position where you will guide strategic direction, optimize operational outcomes, and drive the company's objectives in a rapidly evolving and competitive market. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the COO to create and implement nationwide sales strategies, with an emphasis on growth, market expansion, and partner engagement. Lead, inspire, and manage sales professionals across multiple territories within NZ, ensuring targets are met and operational standards are upheld. Oversee the execution of the company sales strategies and processes for Manufacturing Solutions within the NZ market. Achieve sales targets and growth by successfully managing the local sales team. Empower and grow the skill set of our sales team to be the best in the industry to achieve sales growth and targets. Monitor and enhance performance metrics, aligning them with corporate objectives, and continually seek process improvements for greater efficiency. Cultivate and manage key partnerships, driving the company's market reach and ensuring strong relationships with industry stakeholders/clients. Evaluate market trends, analyze competitive landscapes, and provide insights that inform strategic decisions. Oversee major sales initiatives, including industry events, campaigns, and financial management, ensuring budgetary goals are met. Foster a culture of mentorship, performance excellence, and engagement within the sales team. Requirements: Experience in senior sales leadership where you have built and mentored a high-performance team that delivers on results. Driven to achieve and hit goals with a high level of integrity and honesty. Proven success in achieving sales objectives and managing dispersed teams. A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Expertise in developing and implementing national sales plans and driving business growth. Solid commercial insight. Must have experience working in a corporate environment. Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and engage both internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to travel regularly across the country including full drivers' licence and access to a motor vehicle. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. A customer-centric mindset and the ability to build rapport quickly. Prepared to roll up your sleeves as and when the need or situation dictates. A degree in Business Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.
