About the Role As an experienced Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee and facilitate the final mile 3PL customer distribution within New Zealand for Finished goods, Spare parts and Recycling, including transportation between distribution centres and offsite storage locations.
You will be passionate about customer service levels and drive continuous process improvement and embed a strong health and safety culture within our 3PL carrier network.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure processes achieve the effective and efficient distribution of goods, in conjunction with a cost and service management approach.

To excel in this role, you should possess: Excellent 3PL contract negotiation and contract management abilities.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency in logistics and transportation management software (e.g., TMS).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to transportation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and sound analytical skills.
Sound knowledge of logistics KPI's transportation management.
A great communicator and collaborator, building rapport and being an influencer are key attributes.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proactive and results-driven with a strategic mindset.
Ability to plan, influence, coach and collaborate.
Your Responsibilities Will Include: Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high service levels.
Develop and manage transportation budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial targets.
Implement and optimize transportation processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers.
Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and rates with 3PL providers across finished goods, spares and recycling.
Monitor and evaluate 3PL performance, ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Responsible for the reconciliation of 3PL invoices and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Responsible for reporting on financial performance (P&L) and accurate monthly accruals on outstanding invoices.
Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or complaints from internal stakeholders or customers.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by managing delivery performance and responding to service inquiries.
Contribute to the development of transportation strategies and initiatives that align with overall supply chain goals.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety regulations and environmental laws.
Accurately and promptly record incidents, near misses, or inventory issues that pose a health & safety concern across our 3PL carrier network.
To partake in effective H&S Leadership visits as agreed across our 3PL network.
