This is a new strategic leadership role which will see our National Law Librarian drive the vision and strategy for our library services while leading and managing our dedicated and service-orientated Library team located in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.The New Zealand Law Society libraries have existed since the 1860s and the Law Society is committed to continuing this into the future with a refreshed and dynamic purpose.The New Zealand Law Society Library is a private library serving the information needs of New Zealand legal practitioners. We are a kaitiaki of New Zealand's legal knowledge and resources, providing legal research services to our members and upholding the principles of access to justice and the rule of law.Reporting to the General Manager, Representative Services and Strategy, you will develop and execute a strategy to ensure we are providing the best service to the legal profession through our Law Libraries. We are looking for an experienced people leader who can work with our library managers and team to ensure our services remain relevant in a fast-changing world. You will also supervise the preparation and delivery of high-quality research and information, which we are known and trusted for.This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours each week.
