The role
We are expanding our fantastic Business Development – Business Events team and are on a proactive hunt to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is a critical role with the key focus on assisting us in passionately boosting awareness, interest, showcasing our venues, and securing valuable new national business events (conferences, functions, meetings) predominantly for our Claudelands flagship venue.

What are we looking for?
We are seeking a dedicated, friendly professional who has a competitive edge, with at least 5 years experience in business event sales and relationship management, and ability to take on a high level of responsibility and accountability. You'll be familiar with and motivated by creating new business leads and building connections to secure new business.
You must be a team player, have a positive, determined and proactive attitude, and a close eye-to-detail. It would be an immense bonus if you have a well-established industry profile and wide-ranging connection network here nationally.
If you are outside Hamilton, we can offer a relocation allowance to support your move to this role, are open to discussing the hours of work, and even the potential of the right candidate not having to be based here in our city and region!
