Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher
Aorere College is looking to appoint music itinerant teachers who are able to support our rangatahi in developing their musical talents in performance and to join our enthusiastic, committed Music Department. Applicants with a New Zealand teaching registration and strengths in the following musical abilities are encouraged to apply:
Vocal (4 hours)
Piano (4 hours)
Upper Strings (4 hours)
Brass and Woodwind (4 hours)
Drum (4 hours)
Guitar (4 hours)

You will be expected to demonstrate culturally responsive practice and participate in the extra curricula life of the school.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $51,358 to $90,000 depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once the role is confirmed.
