Join our dynamic team as a Mowing Operator and immerse yourself in the breath-taking landscapes of Queenstown! As the Community lawns operator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the scenic beauty stretching from the waterfront to the botanic gardens and into historic Arrowtown. While relative experience is preferred, we are open to providing full training to the right applicants who share our passion for preserving the natural charm of these iconic locations.
A prerequisite for this role is the ability to drive a manual class 2 small transport vehicle.
About you:
Hands on experience and a good understanding of environmental laboring (specifically tractor and other machinery operation, spraying and mowing equipment, gardening, landscaping, and vegetation control);
Understands and adheres to (Environmental Laboring) Health & Safety guidelines and best practice.
Enjoys working outside in all weather.
Must be physically fit and able.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude;
A current and clean Driver's license class 1;
A proven record of being a team player.
To be successful:
Class 2 driver's license
Growsafe qualification
Chemical Applicator qualification
TMO/ STMS
Wheels endorsement
Experience and knowledge of the regional greenspaces and local contract requirements desirable
Any horticultural qualifications desirable
