About the role Based in Feilding, this role will provide whanau tamariki support for mothers and young parents and their pepi. You will provide support in developing parenting skills, building self-esteem and confidence of the mother/ parents within a supportive environment that will nurture the optimal development of the pepi.
As a professional role it is expected that the service will be delivered within the required scope of practice and be responsible for providing whanau-centered, culturally appropriate, and holistic care to the client and their whanau.
Skills and experience We are looking for:
Recognized qualification in health or education fields. Flexible and mobile with a current "clear" full NZ driver's licenseHas knowledge of relevant agencies and services Has well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Passionate about providing health services that meet the needs of the community and are of high qualityUnderstands the health needs of different communities and can build a rapport with those from diverse backgroundsHas knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a positive attitude to cultural issues.Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can work with a wide range of people in a variety of settingsAble to work in pressured situationsCan articulate how Maori principles are incorporated into practice and the service If you are interested in the role please send a CV and cover letter to [email protected].
