Motel - Area Manager / Business Development Manager Melbourne Lodge – Queenstown, South Island Company: ATQT Limited Payrate: $35 - $40 per hour Location: Queenstown, New Zealand Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 3 motels in Queenstown.
As the Area Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all aspects of the motel, including guest satisfaction, staff management, financial performance, and property management in terms of repair & maintenance.
Responsibilities: Maintaining Business ratings with targets to improve over a period of time Maintaining Business turnover and profits with targets to improve over a period of time Oversee and manage all motel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and security Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction at all times Recruit, train, and supervise motel staff, providing guidance and support as needed - Includes Reception, Housekeeping, and Maintenance Staff Monitor and control expenses, budgeting, and financial performance of the motel Maintain high cleanliness and maintenance standards throughout the motel Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally Implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain guests Collaborate with the motel owner or management group to develop and execute business plans and strategies Qualifications: Minimum 3 Years experience in motel or hotel management is required Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team Excellent guidance on customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns and complaints Solid organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Proficient in computer systems and hotel management software Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment A high level of integrity and professionalism Application Instructions: To apply for this position, please submit your resume, cover letter, and any other relevant documents.
