We currently have an opportunity for a Mobile Patrol Officer & Communication Operator to join the team and support our clients. This is a night role where you'll be completing mobile patrols across the Auckland area.
This role will also cover shifts at our Red Operations Centre, the team that supports our staff across New Zealand overnight – You'll be part of a visible frontline network, connected forward-thinking and looking towards identifying and solving issues before they become problems.
This is a permanent full-time overnight position and shifts will vary and be on a rotating roster but will generally be between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
About the Role
Carrying out mobile patrols at required sites across Auckland
Complete physical checks of client properties
Reporting any suspicious activity/damage in and around client sites
Respond to alarm activations, break-ins/ramraids and provide initial support to staff
Complete detailed handover reports at the conclusion of shifts
Provide support and assurance to employees throughout their shift
Ensuring employees are on-site when required
In the Red Operations Centre – serve as the first point of contact for staff & clients, providing friendly and professional assistance via phone, email or chat.
About you
You'll have previous security experience, ideally within a guarding or mobile patrol environment.
Valid Green COA Security License is desirable; however, Red Badge can support you in obtaining one if you are 18 years old or over, have a clean criminal record & eligible to work in NZ.
Comfortable using technology and completing administration work
Great with customer service and building relationships with our team.
Familiar using Microsoft Office Software – at a minimum Word, Excel & Outlook.
Full clean New Zealand driving license.
Must be reliable, confident & honest at all times
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Excellent innovative problem-solving and critical thinking skills and be able to act independently – this role will see you working alone most of the time.
Availability to work flexible hours, including at least 1 weekend night.
