Are you passionate about telecommunications and skilled in the technical aspects of network rigging and maintenance? VLP Telecommunication Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mobile Network Technician/Rigger to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in installing, maintaining, and repairing cellular telecommunications equipment and appliances across various sites.

Your responsibilities will include:


?      Install and maintain antenna systems on towers and ground, including RRH, antennas, TMA, combiners, filters and related equipment.
?      Read and interpret building construction drawings for cable routing, antenna installation and DAS/IBC design.
?      Utilise testing tools such as Site Master and PIM Tester to ensure optimal performance of network equipment.
?      Work with Superflex, LDF, and 7/8" cables, including their connector terminations.
?      Manage and terminate DC rectifier plans.
?      Interpret technical design documents for steelwork assembly, RF plumbing and civil work related to cell site builds.
?      Install and maintain equipment, cabinets, cable trays, radios, antennas, feeders and cables on poles, towers and rooftops.
?      Capture as-built information and submit completion documents as per client requirements.


Qualification, Experience and Attributes Required:


?      Minimum of 3 years work experience in the telecommunication industry or relevant NZ standard experience in the mobile network industry or a relevant level 4 or higher qualification.
?      Proficiency in DAS/IBC installation terminology and the interpretation of technical drawings.
?      Experience with Site Master, PIM Tester and understanding of cable types and connector terminations.
?      Experience with power tools, rigging gears and working with DC rectifier plans.
?      Strong focus on health and safety, ensuring adherence to best practices.
?      Ability to drive a manual vehicle/UTE.
?      Willingness to work away from home as required.
?      Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and mutual respect.
?      High energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm for the role.


Pay & Benefits:


?      Full-time permanent employment.
?      Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
?      Hourly rate ranges between $29.00 - $31.00.
