About the Role The Merchant Settlement Analyst is a crucial operational role providing accurate, timely daily settlement services to Smartpay's merchants, ensuring our customers get paid on time, every time.
Supporting the Trans-Tasman Settlements functions, you will: Undertake review of daily financial transaction reportsEnsure daily processing of merchant settlementsRespond to merchants' queries and guide merchants through chargeback processes., Investigate alerted transactions and engage with the compliance teamPrepare regular reports to internal and external stakeholdersEnd to end processing of disputes raised through payment schemes.This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glenfield office, requiring flexibility to work some weekends on a rostered schedule.
About You You will be joining a high-performing team that always puts our customers first.
To be successful in this role you will bring: 3+ years' working experience in financial services or publicly listed companyUniversity qualification in finance, economics or related field, or relevant experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to liaise with customers with great level of serviceBusiness acumen and sound judgementStrong data analytical skills with attention to detailProven intermediate level Microsoft Excel skillsDemonstrated timely and accurate reportingKnowledge of scheme settlement processesExperience working successfully in banking or merchant acquiring teams.
