We strive to build meaningful relationships with our customers, providing them with affordable healthcare and products they love.We are seeking a Merchandising and Buying Manager. This key role is responsible for the overall strategy and performance of the product categories across Bargain Chemist.Key responsibilities for this position:Collaborate with the CEO/ Directors to define and execute the company's overall product strategy.Lead the category and inventory teams to optimize product assortments, pricing, and inventory levels.Drive the development and execution of category strategies to meet the company's growth and profitability targets.Supplier Relations & BuyingOversee all key buying strategies and establish strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.Negotiate the best deals with suppliers to maximize margin and promotional opportunities.Work directly with the CFO to set inventory levels and stock turn targets in line with company financial goals.Partner with the executive team to establish OTB (Open to Buy) targets each quarter.Develop and implement stock turn targets, optimizing inventory flow.Set and manage margin strategies to align with company financial objectives.Promotional StrategyResponsible for crafting and implementing the company's promotional strategy to drive sales.Work closely with the Marketing Manager to design and deliver promotional campaigns.House-Brand DevelopmentLead the company's house-brand strategy, ensuring the development, positioning, and performance align with business objectives.Sales & Margin DeliveryAccountable for delivering on company retail sales and margin goals across all product categories.QualificationsProven experience in merchandising and buying, preferably in a similar industry.Proven management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting and forecasting.Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. #J-18808-Ljbffr
