Tasman Liquor acts as a conduit between its suppliers and customers, seeking to bring the efficiencies of scale to all of its stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Merchandise Manager to join our team and help us shape the future, working with our supplier and customer stakeholders to drive ranging, inventory management, trade marketing initiatives, pricing strategies and develop collaborative and mutually profitable relationships.As a Wholesale Merchandise Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, procurement and distribution, ensuring that we deliver exceptional supply chain value to our suppliers, retailer customers and on-premise partners. You'll have the opportunity to lead category growth strategies, working with renowned suppliers and bring innovation to life through private label strategies.In this RoleOwn wholesale supplier income budgets while improving COGS and maximizing efficiencies and profitability.Develop and deliver growth strategies along with the National Sales Manager via category and pricing strategies, supported by promotional plans that align with priorities across our various wholesale customer channels.Work closely with aligned suppliers to build strong relationships that lead to mutual growth and ensure high standards in delivery and quality.Target and engage new suppliers to offer supply chain solutions that result in growth of the volumes moved via our national network.Conduct trading performance reviews, providing actionable insights to continuously improve sales performance.Utilize internal and external insights to drive decisions and supplier alignments.Contribute to the development of e-comm enhancements to ensure our supplier and customers stakeholders enjoy world class service.Own the development and delivery of private label strategies that resonate with our customers.You're Likely a Match IfExtensive experience in FMCG or similar wholesale merchandise and procurement management, with strong stakeholder relationship development.Robust knowledge of supply chain value creation in a collaborative relationship environment, with demonstrated experience in negotiating and problem solving to develop compelling route to market partnership solutions.Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.A solid grasp of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Life at MetcashExperience a supportive and flexible work environment.
