Mo to matou ropu - About our team Te Whare Ahuru provides services for people experiencing an episode of acute mental illness that requires a safe environment with intensive nursing and medical treatment.
The team offers specialist services for people with moderate to severe mental health problems, and offers assessment, treatment and support to assist the individual and their whanau and other support people in their recovery journey with the aim of supporting people back to having their health care provided in primary health care services.
The focus of the service is on providing evidenced based treatment interventions for those people who present with more complex needs and higher risks.
The multi-disciplinary team consists of Psychiatrists, registrars, house surgeons, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, and mental health support workers.
Mou - About you We are looking for a motivated registered nurse who enjoys a challenge, has a positive attitude, and is able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of trauma and health inequalities affecting many of our patients experiencing mental health distress.
Be currently registered in New Zealand and have the ability to practice in a mental health setting in New Zealand.
