New Zealand Blood and Organ Service (NZBS) is dedicated to saving lives. Every year, tens of thousands of generous people donate their time, blood and plasma to us for free. In addition to our vein to vein service in transfusion, we also provide national services in organ transplantation, cellular therapies, and tissue banking.
We exist to ensure the efficient delivery of safe blood and tissue products on a time-critical basis throughout New Zealand and through the generosity of our donors, we are able to help save lives.

About the role
Using state-of-the-art technology, the Donation Accreditation team ensures that blood and blood products are safe for clinical use by conducting essential testing. We are seeking dynamic individuals who are enthusiastic to join a small, friendly, and committed team of professionals as part of an organisation that values its people and is committed to the delivery of safe products and services.
Your base salary will be between $69,000 to $104,466 depending on skills, experience, and registration.

Key Qualifications and Attributes
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
A strong background in working within a regulatory framework.
A collaborative spirit capable of enhancing a small, quality-driven team.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and patient care.
Desirable Experience
Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, especially in areas of immunohaematology, quality control, and infectious disease testing, will be highly regarded.
Experience in blood banking, immunology, serology, blood grouping, and nucleic acid testing analysers will be advantageous.
