Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora – Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District
Location: Wellington Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
The Wellington regional hospital MRI department is looking for a qualified MRI MIT (MRI Diagnostic Radiographer) who is keen to join a motivated, innovative, and forward-thinking MRI department. The successful candidate will work in a collegial and supportive environment that will enable them to hone their MRI skills as part of a tertiary hospital service provider.
Successful candidates will be part of a high-performing team that nurtures personal development, job satisfaction, and individual growth.
The role is based mainly in the MRI department and requires participation in the MRI on-call roster. As the role progresses, there is an option to include working some MRI weekend shifts.
The department currently has two Siemens scanners, a 3T and 1.5T, and has a 24/7 on-call service to support acute workload. We provide a wide range of tertiary scanning services, including breast biopsy, cardiac, advanced neuro, research, paediatric, geriatric, and ICU imaging. The work is rewarding and sometimes challenging, where adapting technique offers the ability to apply your skills and knowledge to provide positive outcomes for our patients. Additional training and support will be given if the successful candidate has no previous experience with these imaging techniques.
We are a friendly, dynamic team that is growing and has a proven, successful training programme for MRI MIT trainees and encourages MIT students to spend time with us.

A good team player, friendly and approachable, flexible, able to work under pressure, and communicate well with others.
Able to work autonomously and independently and demonstrate critical thinking.
Engaged in continued professional development and have a passion for the role.
