We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with accurate and tidy completion of Job and Time sheets based in our manufacturing facility in Oamaru.About you:You will be a team player who has a willingness to learn and promote continuous improvement. You will have proficient computer skills as you will be in our ERP system & Excel every day. It would be beneficial to hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification or have 3 or more years' experience in a similar role.Key Responsibilities:Performing Product Costings in conjunction with Production Manager.Performing required CAD tasks.Operating CNC Machinery including nesting.Giving full attention to workshop and site safety.Treating all company equipment and vehicles with care.Maintaining a good attitude and respecting other staff members.Product Nesting, Problem Solving, and Operating CNC Machinery.Directing the maintenance of equipment and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules.Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained.Establishing work measurement programs and analysing work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation with the Metal Processing Team.Assisting in analysing workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data, and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies within your team.Assisting in developing specifications for manufacture and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities, and layout of plant and systems.Customer Service:Treating all customers in a polite and respectful manner.Communicating and giving explanations to customers if required by management.How to Apply:To apply, please apply through the link provided with your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role.
