About the role Our team in New Plymouth has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer, particularly with energy industry experience to join the team.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
Be responsible for mechanical or pipeline engineering activities on small projectsBe autonomous and self-aware to know when to seek input from senior engineersLearn from and be guided by senior engineersDeliver mechanical and pipeline project requirements according to agreed metricsConduct site visits to scope projects and perform inspectionsProviding technical support to projectsMaintain a flexible attitude along with the rest of the teamHave an opinion, challenge the norm, while being respectful of our team.About you You will ideally have:
Experience in a range of mechanical engineering skills, particularly pressure equipment.Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction stage.Experience working in energy or industrial facilities or with pipelines and inspection.Experience in application of engineering and design standards, systems and processes.Experience generating engineering estimates and quotations.The ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.A Mechanical or Mechatronics degree or equivalent experience/qualifications (mandatory).About our team Our New Plymouth team is a leading engineering consultancy in the Taranaki area, seeing growth across New Zealand and internationally.
