Matamata ColorShop - Fixed Full Time Retail Sales Resene Paints Ltd – Matamata, North Island
We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Assistant for our Matamata ColorShop store on a fixed term contract until the 10th of January 2026.
Working alongside the Shop Manager and the rest of the team, you will help to maximise the promotion and sales of Resene products/systems to our trade and retail customers, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the Shop. You will learn sound technical knowledge about the industry, developing your skills both in retail sales and paint systems and processes.
The Role:

Monday 7.30am to 5.00pm & Tuesday to Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm
Saturdays and Public Holidays (rostered basis)
Full Time - Total minimum 41 hours per week
Fixed Term until 10.01.2026
Serving retail and trade customers
Point of Sale operation
Tinting and mixing Resene products
Manual handling/lifting of 4L and 10L paint pails
General daily cleaning duties and closing procedures of the store
Giving advice both technical and colour
Monthly after hours training evenings
Working alongside Sales Representatives and Shop Manager for large orders and projects
