Coda Music & Arts Trust Marketing & Communications Officer Coda is an established music and arts charity on the Dorset/Hampshire border and is looking to recruit a part-time Marketing and Promotions Officer to help us build awareness to, and support for, our work. You will take the lead in all our print and digital strategies and harness new digital infrastructure to effectively reach our growing audience base. Job Purpose The Marketing & Promotions Officer is a key role at Coda, taking the lead in all our print and digital strategies and actions and harnessing new digital infrastructure to effectively reach our growing audience base. Key Responsibilities Work with the team to build and execute a Marketing, Communications and Audience Development Plan that works in line with the organisation's vision and objectives. Plan, execute and subsequently evaluate a wide variety of marketing campaigns. Create compelling written copy and visual content for a range of platforms, which supports and promotes Coda's programme. This includes creating case studies, infographics, web, blog and video content, and using a range of digital tools such as Canva, Squarespace and others. Develop new and innovative ways to communicate Coda's message to existing and potential customers, users and supporters. Coordinate and produce a wide range of marketing communications. Identify key promotional targets and advertising opportunities. Build relationships with promotional partners and targets. Liaise with designers, print and digital programmers on the production of content and marketing materials. Write articles, newsletters, press releases and promotional material in line with Coda's tone of voice. Maintain and update information on the Coda website, calendar and shop, working with the team at Coda to ensure content is up to date, fresh and optimized to support our users. Create compelling digital content, uploading and sharing marketing material to online social media sites including Facebook and Instagram. Coordinate the distribution of print materials. Update and maintain Coda's documentation and marketing contact database. Use tools such as Google and social media analytics to monitor and analyse engagement stats across platforms and use this data to improve, use and target communications more effectively. Person Specification Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to convey marketing messages in writing, face to face, and on the telephone. Creative skills in the development of online marketing content eg photography and videography, basic design etc. Computer proficient, including an understanding of basic computer software systems, of Squarespace, database management, and of social media, in particular Facebook and Instagram. A sound understanding of marketing principles and strategy through practical experience of promoting events and activities and academic theory. An enthusiastic and dynamic approach to tasks, and an ability to show initiative to create opportunities. Experience of music and the arts and the value of cultural creativity in life. Strong administration and organisational skills. The post is based at Coda, Chewton Farm Rd, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 5QL and candidates should be aware that we are not well served by public transport. Your own transport is desirable. The role may require some occasional evening or weekend work and Coda operates a Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) system where this is the case. Part time: 3 to 4 days per week (tbc with selected candidate) Salary: £26,000 pro rata p.a.
