Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to provide necessary maintenance activities to achieve the required level of quality, costs, and production capacity for active products.
Each day, you will support active products through production.
Over time, you will contribute to new product developments including assembling prototypes and testing new designs.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position will be based in Napier, New Zealand.
The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite.
This role contributes to the Power Protection business in Napier.
Main stakeholders include R&D and Agile teams for technical input and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Production teams.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Developing and managing engineering changes in active productsMonitoring product/assembly cost and developing projects for cost savingsManaging technical documents for production (3D, Schematics, BOM, Assembly Procedure)Establishing project specifications for productionConverting R&D developments into products for market and readying these for mass productionSupporting production lines, involving problem-solving analysis and investigating together with Quality/Process teamsMaintaining assembly and packaging instructionsQualifications for the roleYou enjoy working with 3D modelling tools like Solidworks, Electrical schematic capture tools like Autocad, and ERP systems like SAPYou have more than 2 years of experience in managing multiple (change) projectsDegree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)You are at ease communicating in EnglishMore about usABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure, and commercial buildings.
