Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, team well-being, and high performance. This role is essential in maintaining seamless warehouse processes, meeting daily output goals, and leading our dedicated team toward consistent success.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsInitiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.Manage warehouse functions from Inwards Goods to Dispatch, ensuring adherence to daily schedules and KPIs.Coordinate materials and supplies, including managing Kanban cards, PPE gear, and packaging.Ensure quality of stock, proactively identifying and implementing improvements.Maintain accurate stock levels and reconcile inventory with our ERP system.Process ImprovementDrive a continuous improvement culture focused on reducing downtime, eliminating waste, and enhancing quality through Lean practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training and development needs, coaching staff for maximum efficiency and performance.Optimise space utilisation and streamline inventory flow for increased productivity.People LeadershipLead a team of warehouse members to achieve daily KPIs and targets.Ensure team safety by following and enforcing Health & Safety policies.Conduct biannual development plans, fostering growth through mentorship and skills enhancement.Address and escalate people-related issues to HR when necessary, and manage absenteeism and leave.About YouAt least 3 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or distribution role.Familiarity with Lean principles, such as 5S, Kanban, and visual management systems, is essential.Brings a proactive, high-energy approach to motivate the team and drive productivity.Effectively handles multiple responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations under dynamic conditions.Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate resources and manage inventory effectively.Flexible and open to covering for the Warehouse and Distribution Manager when required, ensuring continuity in operations.We are the ASSA ABLOY Group.
