This includes evolving and delivering Y25 each year, facilitating an engaged and active Y25 Alumni and guiding the wider organisation with the lived experience and aspirations of our young people. It's a vibrant, rewarding role in a great team.The opportunityWe're looking for our new Manager - Youth Engagement. In this role, you'll lead and own our work with young women and gender diverse youth. The key deliverable is our flagship programme - Y25. Each year this impactful initiative evolves with the cohort to stay relevant and engaging. It's a special experience that requires a leader who knows how to create and hold space for our young people to be themselves and develop bonds.As the Manager, you will lead and mentor our Associate (a young intern on a fixed term contract with us) and help them flourish and learn. The wider team will pitch in and assist as 'Aunties' and bring a wealth of different skills and experiences. Every year Y25 is a team effort and the richer for it.In addition to the annual Y25 programme, we are developing a vibrant Alumni of all participants since 2020. There are many tuakana-teina opportunities throughout the year and we return to this group again and again for co-design and ideas that shape what we do and how we deliver it. You will also help plan, deliver, and communicate one-off projects and campaigns to our stakeholders.About youYou will have experience managing projects and people that deliver impact. You pride yourself on getting things done and bringing people with you. You'll be known for the great relationships you build through active listening and delivering on commitments.
