Reporting to the Head of Sustainability and Innovation, this newly created role provides leadership in sustainability to ensure Watercare is meeting the expectations of our communities and the needs of the natural environment. The focus of the role is to develop and implement the strategic direction for sustainability for Watercare. ResponsibilitiesThe development of company-wide, sustainability focused strategies to ensure Watercare meets the needs of future generations.Championing our climate change strategies and processes to ensure that we are constantly working to reduce our emissions footprint and adapting to change where necessary.Influencing the strategic direction and outcomes delivered by other business units to ensure sustainability is fully integrated across Watercare.The delivery of integrated reporting to highlight Watercare's performance against its climate focused objectives.Holding the business to account and providing a future-focused sense check to ensure we are not compromising the needs of future generations through our actions today.You must be able to make things happen and shift discussion from thoughts and ideas to efficient action and delivery. Stakeholder relationships are a key aspect of this role, as is your ability to lead and mentor others. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to liaise with people across internal and external stakeholders.
