As the Manager of Service Reliability, you will oversee the development and implementation of strategies to ensure the reliable operations of our systems and services.
You will use data to analyse and understand potential risks, establish contingency plans, and lead a team of engineers to swiftly address and mitigate any disruptions to service.
You will collaborate closely with various departments, business users, and product owners to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our systems, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
You will use emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the resilience framework.
Experience and Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of DevOps tools, processes, and practices.
Experience of leading teams in high-pressure situations.
Can demonstrate their understanding of risk analysis methodologies and frameworks.
Knowledge and experience of establishing service resilience practices and strategies for teams working with cloud and on-premises services.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices and how they are applied to services.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and concepts.
Skills: Experience with deploying services as code, practices and tools, such as version control systems (e.g.
Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience of implementing BCP and recovery strategies.
Excellent mentoring and technical guidance skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team.
Experience of using observability and data analytics to improve service resilience.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Other Requirements: A tertiary level qualification, preferably in Information Technology.
15 years of relevant professional experience.
Certifications in relevant technical area.
The ability to obtain and maintain a confidential security clearance.
New Zealand Permanent Residency or NZ Citizen only for security clearance reasons.
