As a Manager / Senior Manager - Corporate Tax, you'll provide strategic tax consulting and compliance services. With a collaborative and innovative approach, you'll have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, from iconic New Zealand and international corporations to fast-growing entrepreneurial enterprises.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage tax projects, leveraging your expertise in legislation and case law to deliver well-researched and analysed tax opinions.
Apply your understanding of financial statements to optimise tax functions.
Review client tax calculations and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Conduct tax reviews for corporate clients, identifying tax issues and exploring consultancy opportunities.
Collaborate with Partners and Directors to proactively manage client relationships, providing timely and effective solutions to client queries and identifying value-added opportunities.
Continuously learn and adapt to address any knowledge gaps.
Contribute to the enhancement of in-house systems, technology, and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff.
Nga pukenga kei a koe / Skills and Experience:
4+ years of proven expertise in tax specialisation within commercial, government, or CA settings.
Proficient in complex income tax return preparation, tax legislation interpretation, and adept at client relationship management.
Experience in resolving tax disputes and contributing to due diligence projects is helpful.
Strong tax research skills.
Holds a relevant Bachelor's degree in law, tax, accounting, or a related field, alongside a CA qualification or equivalent postgraduate credentials.
Proactive and technology-savvy with exceptional communication, negotiation, and team-building skills, fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence.
