Permanent position, Wellington location preferable but would consider applicants from Auckland & Christchurch.
Salary range: $132,417-$160,472.
Radio Spectrum Management is seeking a skilled and dynamic manager to oversee the management of radio spectrum licensing across New Zealand.
This critical role ensures that the radio engineers and technical officers operate at a high standard, adhering to nationally consistent practices, operational policies and business process frameworks.
Key Responsibilities: Planning, monitoring and other management functions within the Radio Spectrum domain.
Skills and Experience Required: Extensive knowledge of broadcasting, telecommunications and radio communication industries, and knowledge of the public sector policy process.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and inspire the team, manage cross-functional collaboration and work effectively with others.
Proven ability to understand and apply legislation fairly and consistently, with excellent knowledge of the international and New Zealand radio spectrum regulatory framework.
Knowledge of key influencers within the relevant industries.
Ability to balance statutory and technical issues and present them clearly to a range of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement change in a technically complex environment.
Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
